Jamie Jones Amnesia Ibiza Paradise 2022

A week ago, Jamie Jones and his crew took us to Paradise. It was our first time at Amnesia Ibiza and well, what a way to approach such a historical venue.

After a 10-minute drive from Ibiza town, it is impossible not to notice the mammoth that is Amnesia, situated on the roadside of the highway that connects Eivissa to Sant Antoni.

While walking from the spacious parking lot towards the entrance, we were immediately captured by the aesthetics of “The Age of Love”, this season’s concept for all the Paradise events.

Fluctuating sculptures of body parts, abstract shapes, and a stairway to nowhere hanging from the club’s ceiling and are lit by retrowave tones such as pink and blue.

The feeling that something special was going on, immediately became reality as we danced to the opening sets by La Fleur and Ida Engberg who warmed up the Terrace spacing from tech basslines to uplifting Melodic Techno sounds.

By 2.30 am, it was time for the night’s main event: Jamie Jones B2B Seth Troxler. The Paradise setup sees the DJ booth placed very low, to create an even stronger connection between the artists and the crowd.

The two superstars took advantage of this very well, and set the dancefloor on fire from the very first tracks, dropping stompers like the “For The Same Man” remix by Nic Fanciulli. For the following four hours, the duo seamlessly mixed bouncy tech house grooves with house classics.

The heavyweight lineup was completed by resident DJ Manda Moor, Archie Hamilton, and Ilario Alicante, who ran the show in the Music Box room.

In here, the sound featured higher energy, and darker basslines, with 128 to 130 bpm tech house that was smoothly brought towards techno in the later part of the night.

Watch down here a video of Ilario Alicante playing the unreleased track “Dance With Me” by Kevin de Vries:

Paradise offers an unmissable clubbing experience and are a highlight in the 2022 Ibiza season. Jamie Jones and his crew will continue to bring The Age of Love every Tuesday until October 5, featuring a star-studded lineup that includes Hot Since 82, Patrick Topping, Âme, Joseph Capriati and many more.

The Paradise Party and Paradise In The Park

In 2012, Paradise began as a summer residency at Ibiza’s legendary DC-10 but has since evolved into a world-renowned event series. Paradise will relocate its residency this summer to Amnesia, Ibiza’s most influential club and the birthplace of the Balearic beat. Jamie Jones, a former LA resident, and house music mogul, debuted the Paradise In The Park concept in 2017, selling out Macarthur Park, followed by another sold-out show at Grand Park in 2019 and, most recently, Pershing Square in 2021.

‘People often ask me why I called the party ‘Paradise,’ you know it’s kind of an obvious name in many ways, but to me it was because what I thought was lacking in Ibiza was what I always had in my mind that the Paradise Garage was – a crowd of musical minded adults who were dancing the night away with amazing colours all around them and just a real feeling of creativity and musical energy. So the name Paradise came from that idea. – Jamie Jones

Jamie Jones brought the Paradise parties to the next level with Paradise In The Park; it was created in collaboration with the forward-thinking, Los Angeles-based production company Future Primitive. Future Primitive is known for their world-class production and for pioneering unique outdoor event spaces for underground dance music throughout the city.
